Serving Mentor, OH

The Volkswagen Tiguan and the Volkswagen Atlas are classy, contemporary crossover SUVs with three rows of seating. Despite standing next to each other in the 2024 model lineup, these impressive models are unique in bold ways. Our Classic Volkswagen team is ready to assist with your review of these models today.

Performance

All four of the Tiguan SUV’s trim levels have the same powertrain. This 184-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed auto transmission. The first three trim levels have a standard third row of seats along with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. The top Tiguan trim level has two rows of seats with standard all-wheel drive and hill descent control. The Atlas is also available with only one powertrain. This is a 269-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine. It comes with an eight-speed auto transmission along with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Appearance

As a compact crossover SUV, the 2024 Tiguan has a bold, confident look, long, lean accent lines crossing the sides, and a subtly tapered hood. On the front, the wide grille is accented by horizontal chrome bars and flanked by scalloped LED headlights. The front fascia has a standout look integrating the bumper with the air intakes. The 2024 Atlas is a taller, longer vehicle with stronger accent lines on the sides. Its slightly squared-off fenders and black molding add a rugged edge. At the front, the grille is comparable to the Tiguan grille, integrating with capped-off LED headlights. Both the bumper and air vents have metallic accents.

These Volkswagen crossover SUVs have many shared features, including Car-Net connected services, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 6.5-inch infotainment system screen or larger, heated front seats, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot intervention, a power liftgate, USB ports, voice controls, remote engine start, automated parking, a Fender sound system, a heated steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, a surround-view camera, driver’s memory controls and others.
