2024 Volkswagen Taos vs 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan
Serving Mentor, OH
The 2024 Taos is the entry-level Volkswagen crossover SUV, and this model delivers a well-equipped, two-row cabin with many modern features and technologies. The Tiguan sits above the Taos in this year’s lineup, and it has an optional third row, unique styling, and different powertrain equipment. Because we always focus on complete customer satisfaction at Classic Volkswagen, we are your top source for complete details about these crossovers.
Performance
Under the 2024 Taos SUV’s hood, you will find the same powertrain for all three trim levels with a 158-horsepower, four-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The standard configuration includes front-wheel drive with an eight-speed auto transmission. All-wheel drive is optional, and it pairs with a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission and an upgraded suspension system. The 2024 Tiguan trims all have the same 184-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. This unit pairs with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission for most trims. However, the top SEL R-Line trim adds standard all-wheel drive and hill descent control.
Appearance
Across the exterior, the 2024 Volkswagen Taos expresses its confidence through its style. The design of this small crossover shows off upper and lower pinstripes on the sides, as well as a side air intake, black molding, and subtly defined haunches. The short grille is topped and underscored by chrome elements, and these elements extend to the sides to connect with the LED headlights. The lower fascia is styled with triangular air inlets and a metallic outline on the bumper. The slightly larger 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan has smoother fenders with more muscular definition lines on the sides. The grille is styled with horizontal, metallic bars, and the headlights have two U-shaped LED elements. The bumper has a barbell-like shape.
Features
The Taos and Tiguan are well-appointed in the 2024 model year with many of the same features. In both models, you could find ambient cabin lights, a dual-zone auto climate control system, heated front seats, parking sensors, leather upholstery, a wireless device charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch touch display screen, emergency assist, adaptive cruise control, a wireless internet hotspot, a forward collision warning with auto braking and several other features. The Tiguan also has an automated parking system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument screen, a Fender sound system, a surround-view camera, and driver’s memory controls.
