 What’s New for the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

The spacious Volkswagen Atlas is a three-row, midsize SUV that was originally launched in 2018. For 2024, this impressive vehicle continues to be part of the model’s first generation, debuting a few notable improvements for you to take advantage of.

The 2024 Atlas SUV’s updated styling may initially capture your attention. Specifically, the front end has been completely redesigned with metallic accents lining the reshaped bumper and air vents. Above these elements, the wide grille is styled with three metallic bars. These bars run horizontally to link to the large, LED-boosted headlights. New wheel designs are also introduced this year. The 2024 Atlas continues to have a bold look with a confident profile and a crisp accent that rounds over the wheel arches and runs linearly across the side doors.

The Peak Edition is a new appearance package for the 2024 model year. It is offered with the new Avocado Green or Pure Gray exterior paint options. It also adds a panoramic sunroof, black exterior trim, adjustable ambient cabin lights, and all-terrain tires.

You will notice another thoughtful update under the hood. The 276-horsepower V6 engine from 2023 is eliminated and replaced by a turbo, inline-four unit that generates 269 horsepower. The options for the SE with Technology and SEL trim levels are front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The other trims have standard all-wheel drive. The Atlas continues to be equipped with an eight-speed auto transmission for all 2024 trim levels.

All of the 2024 Atlas trim levels have a standard heated steering wheel for the first time. The other features available across the Atlas trim levels hold steady. These may include heated front and second-row seats, a three-zone climate control system, a keyless ignition, a digital instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control, wireless smartphone app connections, USB ports, a 12-inch central display screen, voice controls, lane keeping, a household power outlet, a hands-free liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, driver’s memory settings, a head-up display, a navigation system, leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera, automated parking and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
